Don’t quote me on this

It’s kind of fun to do the impossible. -Walt

Don’t quote me on this.

What?

It’s been an intentional effort to rarely post quotes from other people on these five blogs.

Why?

In 2008 when i started writing, the notion of finding my own voice was intriguing.

Could i write with authority without quoting famous people?

Even crazier, could anything i write become quote-worthy?

If your goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough.

Men vs women

Passing through here this morning on the way to Baltimore.

Man is old when he begins to hide his age; woman, when she begins to tell hers.  – Oscar Wilde

Are you leveraging your Founder’s Story?

Disney Speakers
A young Walt Disney.

Walt Disney said…

“I was all alone back then, I didn’t even have a Mouse.”

In his final years, “I only hope we never lose sight of one thing – that it was all started by a Mouse.”

Morale: Can you imagine Disney without a Mouse? There was a time. So go easy on yourself when you’re starting out. And keep moving forward. A path won’t reveal anything new if you stop or only use the same vicinity.

Branding and Customer Experience quotes

LinkedIn messaging
Last night a request for my Disney expertise.

Disney Innovation Speakers
At a local small business meetup a year or so ago i did a short presentation.

Branding and Customer Experience essential business insights:

  • Emotion trumps everything.
  • The goal of Marketing is trust.
  • The other goal of marketing is to sell more stuff, to more people, more often.
  • Clarity is power.
  • Build your box and think inside it.
  • Employees are customers too.
  • You must be obsessed with continuously improving your Customer experience.
  • Prolific small “wows” have greater loyalty effect than a couple of big “wows”.
  • Your brand is the first thing people think of when they hear your name or see your face.

The cold and clouds are unique to this visit.

Waiting outside the public restrooms, i noticed this – a “hidden smile”.

Mt Oberlin
The two snow patches (almost touching the American Flag flagpole) are noteworthy, but we didn’t know it at the time.

Mt Oberlin
The two snow patches are noteworthy because we hiked to the left one before returning back to here.

Live in intentionality every moment of every new day.

Learn to over-focus on things you used to under focus on or ignore.

Case in point…it’s the only reason yesterday happened the way it did.
