Why are most of us are addicted to a devastating leadership flaw? Because it’s an easy way to win, to cheat the day.

It’s far easier to run from one urgent meeting to another, and put out fires with our well polished tricks of our trade.

But to sit down with a colleague or boss and figure out the truth – what’s going on and why?

Well, that would require a courage that isn’t protected by our urgency addiction.

Why?

Because comparing is a stealth way to make excuses.

Stop comparing and thinking you must measure up to someone else’s standard. Make your own unique standard.

This is my job as a teacher – to inspire others to rethink.
