Now what?

Apple gives you 14 days to pickup at the store. Note the additional information about Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend (11.29-12.02). Managing expectations for what is predicable.

Now what?

Saw it coming but hoped i was wrong.

So then, now what?

Price goes up.

Is that fair?

Technically, yes.

Will you hold your ground or be flexible?

Herein lies the challenge.

Expectations are formed by our actions, not by what we say.

If i say there’s a deadline but don’t enforce it, then there really wasn’t a deadline.

This lack of honoring one expectation contaminates all expectations.

What shouldn’t be a tough call might be, meaning the tough call to raise the price to the December 25th deadline price.

Why?

Anyone paying a premium expects flexibility. As in, “cut me a break, man”.

And then there’s the notion that all of this was an exercise in negotiating a bigger picture – contract(s) signed by year end, which is four weeks away.

Great Customer Service is driven by your architecture

Disney Speaker jeff noel question
Great customer service question.

Great Customer Service is driven by your architecture.

Your architecture is driven by systems and processes that you control.

What you control is driven by your never-ending, intentional, tireless, creative, and continuously focused efforts – efforts that the Customer only sees the tip of your architectural iceberg.

All the hard work to migrate my websites to a new hosting account is being done manually, expensively and with decent risk for intellectual property loss.

There isn’t any other option.

The customer has no idea.

And so it goes.

Pushing back the website rebranding date to June 25

Pushing back the website rebranding date to June 25. It was going to be June 8.

Two key partners are out of town this week and at the moment, progress hinges on my decisions.

And decisions this critical are best done collaboratively with these two incredible people.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Why sophistication is a flawed proposition

Best Disney Conference Speakers
It could have read, Under Construction.

Profoundly simple, simply profound.

Yes, in a prefect world.

But perfect it ain’t.

However, this sentiment remains true in my opinion…

The simpler the insight, the more profound the learning.
