Dear Son, every business is exploring social media. Even those making our snacks! Five years ago I started learning about “web logs”, and a couple years later, started blogging.

January 2009, was granted an opportunity to experiment with it at work. After 7 months of not having a social media policy, it simply felt right to stop. I took down all the posts and You Tube videos. It was a great experience, even with “nothing” to show for it.

It helped pave the way for others to consider social media’s future use.
