Totally Backstage Disney

Todays posts and the past several day’s posts themes are inspired by a recent iPhone photos discovery. An easier way to view and find certain smaller, more manageable categories of photos.

Do you laugh out loud at work?

Cinderella mosaic
Not everyone will be happy by your success. Therefore, be happy for everyone else’s success. Be an example, not a warning.

Do you laugh out loud at work?

Awesome.

Congrats.

Yeeeee-haaaaaaa!!

In the off-chance you said, “rarely”, why?

And, what are you going to do about it? When?

Best wishes, be your own sunshine.

Thank you for everything

Apple Watch at Magic Kingdom
Took the long way through different neighborhoods. All good though.

The key to success is learning how to define it for yourself.

Temptation.

FOMO – fear of missing out.

Crooks praying on your insecurities, and, your hopes.

The bottomless pit of just a little more. From what appears to be privileged work to the reality of an endless burden.

Thank you for all you’ve taught me and enabled me to do to help others.

“Thank you for everything” seems so trite to say.

Thank you for everything succinctly sums it up.

Final answer – thank you for everything.

Focus on your stories

Steve Jobs quote
Every leader is telling a story about what he or she values, through their behaviors.

Focus on your stories.

Why?

It is the easiest and best way to communicate concepts and how they work.

Concepts and how they work is the essence of leadership.

Teaching a child how to become an adult.

Teaching an employee how to serve your customers.

Same difference.

Personal responsibility, joy, contribution, and growth.

Note: Everyday preach the Gospel, if necessary, use words.

The secret ingredient is optimism

Mickey and Minnie Mouse
Yesterday, the Castle forecourt was uncrowded, sunny and bright, loud, and Magical.

The secret ingredient is optimism.

This hit me yesterday while spending four hours, unexpectedly, at Magic Kingdom. Optimism is our (Disney’s) super power, not Magic.

i misjudged Walt Disney World’s closing by one day, and am so glad for the error.

Seriously, thinking about a Disney-less world, it was almost like heartbreak.

Our world needs Disney.

Our world needs optimism.
