Slowly digging out

West Orlando WordPress meetup is the third Thursday of every month. June’s meeting was last night.
West Orlando WordPress meetups are now at Scribble Space, not far from home. A dream come true.
This “Members-only” business card display reinforces the challenge with business cards – standing out in a noisy world.

Slowly digging out of the office administrative backlog created by nine days with limited internet access.

The Lodge wifi was so slow, that i had to blog using notes. This creates a time-consuming task of transferring everything from Notes to WordPress websites.

Transferring photos is the most laborious. A multi-day process.

Then there’s the speaking and busy Summer business-travel logistics.

Back of a GNP tee-shirt.

Photos.

Each one can tell a story without using 1,000 words.

Pretty cool.

Please do not feel guilty for this luxury

Pikachu
On my desk the night i returned from Glacier.

Please do not feel guilty for this luxury.

What.

Loving what you do for a living that it no longer feels like work.

Anywhere, anytime

Beargrass at Lake McDonald Lodge along Going To The Sun Road.
In Mexico, Going The Extra Inch is one of three content points.

Email speaking inquiries happen consistently and i ask Thinking Heads to work through the inquiries and involve me if and when it gets to that point.

Lake McDonald Lodge’s wifi improved from previous years and i was able to text and email from the room.

Nothing like being “off the grid” yet still getting speaking requests.

Working from anywhere and at anytime is a dream come true.

Chamber of Commerce Day

Snapped this photo trying to capture the tiny songbird. The bird isn’t visible in this picture, but the photo is delightfully barren.
The grandeur and solitude are almost overwhelming – in a great way.
Green is in this month, in a big way.
As often is the case, photos don’t do Glacier justice.
Breathtaking if you ask me.
Looking Northwest over my left shoulder as i bike up, iconic Heaven’s Peak.
Not sure why this view never gets old.
Optimistic that everything is coming together for a great recording in a couple hours.
Right middle are tiny dots (bikers) in front of the snowdrift.
Howdy Mt. Clements. Added a couple layers because temps dropped as i neared the Pass.
Howdy (retirees) bikers biking from Vancouver to Boston.
An i was there shot. How can you not?

Chamber of Commerce Day.

Yesterday morning’s weather was “picture perfect”.

No wind. No cold temps.

Short sleeve tee, sunscreen, snacks and water. Traveling light.

Wanted to stay at Logan Pass the rest of the afternoon.

Literally breathtaking.

But after the previous day’s rain-soaked descent, i didn’t want a repeat.

Without any cell-signal, you have to rely on your own “professional” forecast and your own sky-reading ability.

The painful choice to not linger was easy.

i’d rather get to the bottom and be wrong than to stay at the top and be wrong.

i was right.
