“Seek and Welcome Opportunities That Move You Closer To Realizing Your Full Potential.
Be ready when opportunity knocks. And sometimes, by taking strategic advantage of several small opportunities, you may move closer to realizing your full potential more quickly than waiting for one big one to come along.
Therefore, do not be content to wait for a single opportunity to be all that you want it to be; they come in all shapes and sizes and quite often come disguised as something you would not normally expect.
A person truly centered in understanding what he wants will make more opportunities than he finds.

Hey hey Bobby Weaver, sitting here in my DC office listening to my iPod (AC/DC For Those About To Rock) and thought about you stretching in our college room.
Be ready when opportunity knocks….this is good. Another one is to “Blossom where you are planted”. We can’t always control where we end up (needs of the Corps always came first) but you can always control your performance on a daily basis…and sometimes you’d be surprised what good can come of it.
That’s my knuckle dragger philosophy. I may not be the smartest Jarhead to ever lean back and strut but I’m not the dumbest one either.
Skip, you are my favorite Jarhead. 🙂
It’s awesome that you have found these blogs and have become part of the fledgling community.
Love your “be ready when opportunity knocks”. So true. Yet so elusive.
Your devotion to the Corps is admirable and noble.
Thank you for our freedom.
PS. Remember how we used to crank AC/DC up after classes? For Those Abut To Rock is one of the all-time great AC/DC songs.
