There seems to be an abundant absence of this critical success factor

great leader strategies
plenty of room for great leadership

Lots of empty seats available. There seems to be an abundant absence of this critical success factor. Any takers?

Great leaders.

Jeff,

When I read this, I was reminded of a poster I once saw that was meant to be a parody of the inspirational/motivational posters out there. It had a picture of an eagle soars with the word, “Leaders,” as the title. Then in small print, it said, “Leaders are like eagles. We don’t have either of them here.”

I showed this to my leadership class I was teaching to drive home the same point you mentioned above…the seats are bare. Even though the poster was meant as a parody, the underlying truth is what makes the poster’s meaning, well, more meaningful.

Bob, LOL. Eagles are like leaders. We don’t have either of them here.
Wow. What a brilliant parody.
I continue to learn one step a time, that managers and leaders are two different people.
