Live so that if anyone ever said anything bad about you, no one would believe it.
Make sure the people you know and associate with professionally are crystal clear your book is art, not competition.
Art is simply embracing anything in life differently than traditionally established norms.
Art causes us to take notice.
We may like, or hate the art, but the only reason we offered an opinion is that is was different, and we know this because we paused long enough to look and evaluate it.
Sameness doesn’t catch our attention.
