It’s a no-brainer, to stand out in a crowd, you have to do things differently or better than your competition, especially in a highly competitive market, like fast food.
Chick-Fil-A does both – different and better!

Jeff,
I have a lot of respect for Chick-fil-A and what S. Truett Cathy has done with that restaurant chain. I met him when I was in college when he came to my college and spoke during our chapel service, and we didn’t even have a Chick-fil-A in town. Jump 20 years later, and my son had to write a biographical paper on great, modern-day Christian hero of the faith, and it was on S. Truett Cathy. And now, Chick-fil-As are located everywhere, but more importantly, his Christian testimony of how he does business that honors God has become the story told by many a person. In my Entrepreneurship and Managerial Ethics classes I teach, Chick-fil-A is the poster child for “doing things honorably and right.”

Bob, thank you for sharing how this one man has impacted your Family “generationally”. Good, decent, fundamental values, anchored by a simple concept – LOVE – have transformational power, and blessings.
Two nights ago, I snuck into Chick-Fil-A for a quick meal on my way to a holiday party. Couldn’t resist taking these pictures.
As I sat quietly (doesn’t happen too often in public), my mind kept going back to the sign everyone walked under to get inside.
That’s the thing – that sign helps to cause them to be held to a higher standard! As Christians, when we do our work “as unto the Lord,” we are held to a higher standard. Chick-fil-A takes that heart!
Others aren’t listening to our message, they’re watching our message.
It’s in our behaviors that we evangelize, not our speeches.
