Dear Son, be very careful when you listen to or read what the gurus say and write. Look closely at their personal lives. Determine for yourself if they practice what they preach or if they are simply entertainers with exceptional salesmanship.

I’m lucky enough to have seen both sides of this coin. It is quite a life lesson.
It’s a tough pill to swallow. Every situation (challenge), properly perceived, is an opportunity. Patty, was there one particular life lesson, or top three?
I have three examples:
Two which are positive – Jesus, (for we see Him in others everyday) and
Gurumayi Chidvilasananda, who lives and speaks a wisdom for us all.
Negative — Won’t name on a public forum, but was left with this impression: Madonna does not sleep in a cone bra.
Patty, often, it’s the people far from life’s spotlight that are the everyday heroes and good examples. I often wonder if “balance” is impossible.
