
Everybody wants to be somebody and that creates tension here – the workplace.
I’ve found that we get more when we need less.
Less approval. Less money. Less status.
The only way to know this is to give up much.
And to do it without giving up who we are.

Last night’s religious education lesson to 10th graders touched upon this subject. With examples of how being rich and famous, for materialistic reasons, does not make us happy. It is in giving we receive.
Patty, attachment to anything (money, status, things, etc) chases a void that cannot be filled without peace and contentment.
Peace and contentment are brought about from having no attachment, in my opinion.
