Jeff,
I believe they both are integral to each other, but I can see transformation and inspiration as two different sides of a the same coin.
To me, inspiration comes from one person (i.e. the leader) and is directed (intentionally or unintentionally) toward another person (the follower). Then, as the follower receives the inspiration and chooses to be changed by the inspiration, transformation occurs. Even though it can and oftentimes is ongoing in the bigger scheme of things, it can be viewed as the beginning and the ending, with inspiration at the beginning to achieve the appropriate ending.
James McGregor Burns developed the terminology of “Transformational Leadership” to describe the relationship between these two words.
And I think you nailed it on the head with innovation and creativity. Without the initial creativity, then innovation doesn’t get achieved.
Wow – you are really getting my mental motor going this morning with your blogs!!!! Thank you!!!

Bob, love the conversation.
Will probably respond with some additional thoughts later this week.
Been on the road all week. Hope you’re doing well.
Like I said, you have my mental motor going with this as well!
I hope you have a safe trip back home!
Thanks. Time for a run, hopefully. Been saying that every day, but it’s only happened once this week.
Bob, I really enjoy your comments. It’s the social part or social media. 🙂
