Can you walk and talk?
Silly, isn’t it? Can you walk and chew gum at the same time? It’s a tough economic time, a troubled time, an uncertain time. Perhaps the most difficult time of our entire life.
This begs the real question because, personally, it seems excruciatingly rare.
Can you walk the talk?
Most of the time.
Occasionally I have to crawl.
But’s it OK. That’s how I learned to walk.
Amen.
Leaders are just like parents.
Yet most leaders forget this, or they’ve never been a parent, or they forget what their parents were like. Or, they simply don’t give a hoot.
It’s all in how you treat your “children”.
How you teach them.
What you teach them.
How you correct and steer them.
How you encourage them (or not).
How you role model trust, honesty, integrity, courage, vision, etc.
Yes, politics rule the world. And the people most likely to succeed at politics have hidden agendas.
Very few do not.
A parent would burn on the stake for their child.
Most leaders would not.
How’s that for a cup ‘o joe? 🙂
You, who are on the road
Must have a code
That you can live by.
