Does Your Vision Do This?

Does your vision – personal, professional, or both – send a shiver down your spine when you think or talk about it?

What if it did?

What would it take?

As a professional speaker, a wise person once told me, “Jeff, if you look out at your audience, and they look bored, you’re boring them”.

To me, this means if I’m  bored with my thinking, and not motivated, excited or inspired enough, it’s my responsibility to take action.

There are many ways to figure this out.  It happened to me and I’m applying my best efforts to, as Gandhi said, “You must become the change you wish to see in the world”.

What about you?

Thank goodness it’s Monday.  Bring it on.  Carpe diem, jungle jeff 🙂

  1. Dear Jeff,

Amazingly, people get bogged down so much with the day-to-day tasks that their vision becomes either clouded or placed off in a distance. The funny thing about doing that is that it places it in a “safe” location – fun to talk about, but without the intent to follow through to reach it. And they are often referred to as “unfulfilled dreams.” So why should it send shivers if you don’t intend to follow through? Those who step out on faith to follow the vision are the ones who get the shivers…uncharted territory is refreshing and scary at the same time!

So I challenge myself and those who read this to step outside of that comfort zone to follow that individual vision with passion. Seek to make a difference. You’ll find those shivers, among other things! 🙂 Be like the former President George H. W. Bush, who, in his old age, is skydiving!

  2. Bob, awesome. Thanks for your courage to share and challenge others. May I also challenge those reading this to look in the mirror for motivation with your vision – do you see a mountain, a rolling hill, or a mole hill?

Guess what, whatever you see, is what others see. I hope it makes whomever reads this, smile and not panic. Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂
