Life’s compounding knowledge

small pine tree with lights and a Disney 50th pin, in mountains
How about we add a rainbow. As if the lights and pin aren’t enough fun already.

Life’s compounding knowledge has made networking, and reading books, a lost art.

The new art is gaining vast, diverse knowledge. From your phone.

Anywhere. Any time. All the time.

The next art will be learning how to prioritize your knowledge into scalable, sustainable, important life habits.

What if everything changes?

What if everything changes?

No worries.

Story of our lives.

Everything is always changing.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Life is change.

But now Covid-19 has forced a new reality, a revelation – work remotely.

Been doing it since 2008-ish.

Launched a small business in 2009.

If i’m not going against the grain, i do not feel comfortable.

Why the world took so long to seriously consider this as an advantage has transferable insight into every other area of our lives.

The insight?

Fear of the unknown, untested, holds people back.

But not you.

You are a visionary.

Luckiest generation

The paint is not yet dry on how digital natives will thrive in the workforce.

Which generation is the luckiest?

My breakfast partner yesterday suggests it’s people like me and him.

We were the last generation to grow up as teens without the internet.

And, we were at an adult age where we “grew up” with early internet because of our jobs.

We grew up with nothing digital.

We are growing older with everything digital.

Stumbling can be good

Trail Magic: when your business trail leads others to organizational vibrancy. Photo: screen shot from one of Evan’s video trailers.

Stumbling can be good sometimes.

Earlier this week i stumbled upon a digital storyteller.

We both loved the insane serendipity to our connection. So random.

So potentially important.

We talk in a few days.

Why wait?

Thursday afternoon can be late to plan for a Friday meeting. Then there’s the weekend, etc.

PS. Happy Saturday (as i write this).

Disney digital

Disney digital products
At Disney, we are never satisfied with the current way we do things. We are always in pursuit of “better” – including “breakthroughs and game changers”.

“We build digital experiences that directly impact the theme park through end-to-end experiences. Think about FastPass+, MagicBands, Mobile Ordering, Wayfinding—it’s really complex and our scale is just so huge.”  –Nicole, Director, Digital Experience

  2. MagicBands
  3. Mobile Ordering
  4. Wayfinding

Breakthroughs and game changers.
