Three thrilled clients and a list of other things

Disney Epcot Restroom. My client didn’t know why mirrors aren’t placed above sinks.

Moving the mirror (center wall next to exit) away from the sink helps Guest traffic flow better.

Three thrilled clients and a list of other things.

Looking back, yesterday was super productive (as are all days). Of course, the usual two hours of writing, reading, praying, and thinking before sunrise. Then a walking meeting with a potential client at 7:20am – around Epcot.

Then home for three client calls. One with a potential marketing partner, another with an existing client to review progress, and then a call with a potential 2016 client.

In between, daily admin stuff, and review of Thursday’s speech for the umpteenth time. Like an Olympic athlete visualizing their event.

Disney’s secret strategy for having great employees

Human resources secrets weapon

No one outside of Disney wants to believe it’s this simple.

Do you want happy, friendly, outgoing employees serving your customers?

Then hire happy, friendly, outgoing people.

You can tell if they are in the first 10 seconds you meet them.

PS. You can hire people who are not outgoing, and their place in your organization will be better suited for back-of-the-house (no-Guest-contact) positions. You want people in front of your customers and patients who are a natural, unforced, fit.

Against All Odds

Yesterday….(Not the Beatles).

Happy Birthday (yesterday) to Disneyland!

Walt Disney said:

“I knew if this business was ever to get anywhere, if this business was ever to grow, it could never do it by having to answer to someone unsympathetic to it’s possibilities, by having to answer to someone with only one thought or interest, namely profits.  For my idea of how to make profits has differed greatly from those who generally control businesses such as ours.  I have a blind faith in the policy that quality, tempered with good judgement and showmanship, will win out against all odds”.

If Walt Disney could have envisioned how successful his business philosophy would ultimately become and how far it would take The Walt Disney Company, maybe he would have found a way to quit smoking.

Crazy, yes.  Impossible, no.

Walt Disney never used the word, “Impossible”!

Disney, ESPN, Disney Channel, Walt Disney?

Disney, Walt Disney, Pixar, ABC, ESPN, Disney Channel, Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, Rascal Flatts, Disney Studios, Bob Iger, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, The Walt Disney World Resort, plus dozens more Disney brands.

Everyday I read or hear of several more companies that use blogs, Facebook, Flckr, LinkedIn, You Tube, Twitter and various other forms of Social Marketing.

Some call it Social Networking, or Social Media.  At the end of the day, for me, it’s entirely about marketing.

What do you know about keywords, tags, meta tags, titles, SEO, search engines, social marketing, etc?

Exactly!

Best wishes for your purposeful plan today.  Carpe diem, jungle jeff 🙂
