Change the face of Nursing like Steve Jobs did with computers?

Nurse keynote speakers
Quite a run…16 consecutive years. Wow.

Decent chunk of my work in 2018 revolves around Nurses and healthcare.

There’s a chance i may be a backstage partner in redefining Nursing Education.

Depends on how big a CEO will allow herself to dream.

Bigger the dream, bigger the scare-factor.

Remember this reality with your own 2018 dream.

If your goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough. (Yes, it’s ok to quote me.)

Fred Lee didn’t overstate his Disney experience

Disney Institute speakers
It’s challenging not to overstate 30+ years at Disney, or living less than one mile from WDW property. Photo from two days ago.

Fred Lee didn’t overstate his Disney experience in the video clip.

Which is perfect because his experience was cursory.

Fred Lee wrote The 9 1/2 Things You’d Do Differently If Disney Ran Your Hospital. Never saw him speak until here last night.

Was impressed with his speaking talent.

Clutter kills our career passion

Disney ESPN Sports complex
We had a moment when we realized we were driving through Disney World to go to our High School Homecoming Game, also at Disney.

Clutter kills our career passion.

Are you a victim?

Why do i ask?

The final 15 of my 30 years at Disney were spent speaking to over one-million people global through Disney Institute. One-third of the 2,000 clients i personally interfaced with were in Healthcare.

And now as an entrepreneur, the percentage is even higher. i love healthcare. The reasons (which no one cares about) are varied, many, and inspiring.

Here’s what i saw in a dream recently:

Can we put love back into medicine?

Is the goal of healthcare to make money or to extend the healing ministry of “Love”?

The clutter (competing priorities, not fixing poor leadership, not being intentional about everything) in the workplace keeps great organizations from caring for their culture. And once the culture is diseased, there’s little anyone can do.

However, there is a last resort, and it comes, ironically, with a price – call or text me (407-538-4341).

We’ve been talking for the past few years about getting together for lunch. Seriously. Years.

It happened yesterday.

Jake, a 19-year Disney veteran, left Disney right after 9/11 because he had a dream that couldn’t be realized in a corporate setting. His ideas were stifled. September 11th made it even worse.

He took action.

He recounted the first year of applying for multiple gas credit cards to make ends meet as a struggling entrepreneur. He also spoke of living on Campbell’s Soup because that was the best he could afford.

He just hired his 19th full-time employee and the first with a six-figure salary.

Just a hunch, pretty sure he had some hope of recruiting me. Flattered.

Ever have a moment when you inspire yourself because of your convictions?
