The Disney Look is a thing

Disney Keynote Speakers
From the late 1980’s Disney Look Book. The center Cast member looks familiar.

The Disney Look is a thing.

Clean-cut.

Approachable.

A compliment to the Disney Show.

Never dreamt that blogging (nor running) would become a compliment to my Disney leadership and Disney Institute facilitation.

It’s only impossible until you do it the first time.

Where the best ideas come from

This video is the catalyst for all the LinkedIn videos. December 17, 2019 while shooting a short client video message, the catalytic idea appeared, up on our second floor roof.

Many ideas, once seen, are considered obvious. But before they are “seen”, they are impossibly elusive. Learning to think inside the box facilitates and accelerates great ideas.

The best ideas are no cost to low cost, have significant impact, and scale like a virus because of the ease for anyone and everyone to implement.

To see how the LinkedIn videos have morphed from 60 days ago, go here.

Make dramatic leaps

Snapped this yesterday to reply to a text.
Directly overhead. Yesterday near Magic Kingdom toll plaza.

Make dramatic leaps in Guest Service has long been a personal Disney mantra.

When a crazy idea is followed by an immediate comment of, “that will never work”, you have just witnessed the seed of a dramatic leap being planted.

Being Brave

Know thy purpose

Speaking of a ticking clock…Yesterday, November 8, at Lowes Home Improvement store. Corporate goals mostly revolve around profit, not purpose.

Know thy purpose.

To thine own self be true.

But what about societal and family pressure to fit in and not rock the boat?

Is what you are doing good, decent, and doesn’t cause anyone to do anything against their will?

Then you are a free person.

Tradition has its place. We must never forget that tradition evolves. Tradition has always evolved. We forget this. You, my friend, may be modifying tradition in a way that makes more sense than older or existing traditions.

Making things better is a great tradition to carry on.

No really

How do we make this a reality?

Try to get someone at Disney to tell you it is impossible. Go ahead, i can wait. (lol)

Everyone deserves a great nurse and every great nurse deserves a great life.

Can everyone in your organization articulate the essence of why your organization exists?

What if they could?
