Disney Keynote Speaker Google description from LinkedIn

Magic Kingdom fireworks
Crossing a busy intersection as we biked home from dinner, we watched the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the sidewalk.

LinkedIn recommendation from Disney Institute colleague Paul Grossman:

I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Jeff and am compelled to write briefly about him. I was fortunate enough to frequently “share a stage” with Jeff when I was at the Disney Institute. Jeff possesses a ferocious mix: comprehensive knowledge of his content, passion to share it, ability to do it successfully, and raw talent. Each speech, class, event or workshop he conducts, his goal is nothing short of a standing ovation, which I have seen him receive with amazing regularity. When it comes to conveying a compelling, important message that can have real impact on an organization, Jeff in particular and my other former colleagues at the Disney Institute are, quite simply, among the best in the world.

So, to shorten this for Google, how about:

Jeff possesses a ferocious mix: comprehensive knowledge of his content, passion to share it, ability to do it successfully, and raw talent.

Not so seriously.

It was their idea, not ours.

Delivering a special keynote speech i’ve not delivered before.

Why?

An awesome client asked for something i didn’t have.

Initially, the answer to their request almost was no, but in taking a deep breath and asking myself “why not, and, what if”, i instead said, “Absolutely”.

The practice has been fun, inspiring, and enlightening.

The more i do it, the more i love it.

Lost count but it averages three times a day.

Practice like you mean it.

A discovery too…

i can speak the Disney Way about anything.

At Disney Institute for the 15 years i was there, we only spoke about our five core topics, two of which have since been discontinued (in 2013) as stand-alone products (Brand Loyalty…Creativity & Innovation).

Leadership comes with the opportunity to leave a legacy others will want to emulate and perpetuate.

Life would be easier if i didn’t work every morning, as in seven mornings a week.

Apple’s September 12, 2017 new product unveiling Keynote event, the first ever in the new Steve Jobs Theater.

Work is only work if you’d rather be doing something else.

Disney Loyalty Keynote 60 minutes vs 90 minutes

St Mary Lake
A few minutes and three miles away from the Bear sighting. Same Lake, but on the western end here.

Disney Loyalty Keynote 60 minutes vs 90 minutes.

Same content for either length…

Your Promise  •   Delivering Your Promise  •  Connecting Emotionally

Same high-energy, serious-focus, fun, interactive delivery.

What’s different then?

The extra 30 minutes adds even more interactive, engaging, thought-provoking activity, roughly seven additional minutes of experiential learning for each of the four world-class brand loyalty basics.

A long list, but is there a silver bullet for Leadership?

Quote about change
Action. Good, thoughtful and intentional action.

A long list that comes down to one powerful leadership thesis.

The criteria most use to describe why they admire a certain leader center on characteristics, traits, experience, talent, competencies, skills, expertise, and competencies.

But is there a leadership silver bullet that summarizes the whole volume for being a great leader?

It starts with an i, but it isn’t integrity.

It’s intentionality.

Great leaders over-focus on the same things other leaders under-focus on or ignore. It’s about being intentional where others are unintentional.
