This Orlando Eye ride vehicle iPad didn’t work last night, except to show date and time.

Orlando Eye view
Orlando Eye view last night. Blurry, but you get the picture…International Drive (we call it I-Drive) is Orlando’s Times Square or Vegas Strip…nighttime excitement, etc.

Orlando Eye car…takes 22 minutes to do one revolution.

i got to work with some of the most talented Disney Cast Members during my Disney career from 1982 – 2014.

Lenn Millbower was one of the greats.

He was a content designer and has had his own speaking and consulting business for many years.

He published this yesterday and i’m sharing because he writes so well, it’s easy for you to get a great Disney business insight.

Find a million ways to stay professionally motivated

Bear Grass at Glacier
Some in full bloom, some still pushing for fullness.

Find a million ways to stay professionally motivated.

Read.

Study.

Write.

Design.

Prepare – the workday begins the night before.

Dream.

Make your vision clear, concise, and compelling.

Watch videos.

Observe.

Take notes.

Make connections.

Teach.

Volunteer.

Forgive.

Travel.

Walk.

Initiate.

There is a fine line between continuing and quitting – passion will serve you well, lack of passion (or half-baked passion) will not.

Lean into discomfort.

Have fun.

.think .differently

Be remarkable.

Mentor.

Mentee.

Balance convictions with flexibility.

In matters of principle, stand like a rock.

In matters of style, swim with the current.

Pencil or broom. (In your career, you’ll use your brain or your body, pick wisely)

Taking risks is risky, so is playing it safe.

The best thing i ever did was start my own gig.

The thing that prepared me for my own gig was working for a world-class company.

Stories Make It Stick

Three things Lee Cockerell told me when I asked his advice on public speaking, in 1999:

  1. Be passionate
  2. Tell stories
  3. Use personal examples

Here’s a fourth tip.  Benchmark.  Click here to do that right now.

Make your day GREAT.  It’s up to you.  Always has been.  Always will be.  Be inspired. Or not.
