Fire starter pro-tip

Mid Life Celebration book
The drainage hole cover with the Mickey Mouse head emblem – the only place you could find Mickey Mouse when EPCOT Center opened in 1982.

Ask, “Is my leader on fire with our organization’s purpose? Does my leader set me on fire about it too?”

Pro tip: Lead yourself. Do not count on others to set you on fire with a compelling, noble purpose.

What is your desired Organizational accomplishment level?

Three flip charts for brainstorming
Brainstorming.

This post is a repeat of today’s first post. Why? Repetition helps us learn.

Do the reps.

From this short list, pick the level number you desire for your Organizational Vibrancy, using a 5k runner analogy:

  1. Olympic Gold
  2. Olympic podium
  3. Olympic finals
  4. Olympic Team USA, qualify
  5. Olympic Trials, qualify
  6. Nationals Gold
  7. Nationals podium
  8. Nationals finals
  9. Nationals, qualify
  10. College Varsity Team

Can make this list more nuanced, and definitely add more layers. But want to stop at 10 general layers.

Note the obvious difference in common sense effort, dedication, and motivation required to jump from one level up to the next.

And the jump from level 10 to level one is exponential.

Contagious leadership

Longest Glacier hike was one of my first, in 2016. This is me kissing Going-to-the-Sun Road after 14 miles on Highline Trail and The Loop Trail. We also added the Grinnell Glacier Overlook spur-trail to this hike. It was my first time on Highline and Loop trails.

Contagious leadership.

Do you have it?

Congratulations.

You’ve made a wise investment.

Guessing your motivation to have contagious leadership stems from knowing what your life would be like without it.
