Leadership is about creating opportunity

Glacier Summer cold front
Summer cold front brought a unique opportunity for this week’s visitors.

Leadership is about creating opportunity.

Things in life will either go better than you expect or worse than you expect.

No one has a crystal ball to foresee how life will turn out, so we compensate with imagination, dreams, and hopes.

The good news is things often go better than we expect.

The other good news is that we have a choice – to choose opportunity or to choose defeat.

The unusually early cold front brought snow, rain, clouds and lingering cold temperatures.

i chose to see this as a once in a lifetime opportunity to see Glacier in a special-treat way.

You have to bring the good time with you

Time to move to a different angle.

You have to bring the good time with you.

Sunny weather.

Cloudy weather.

Doesn’t matter.

You can’t predict, nor control, what hand you’re dealt.

All you can do is make the best of whatever you’re dealt.

Those distant mountains really pop when the sun is shining brightly.

Not so much in cloudy, rainy weather.

Be okay dancing in the rain and letting your own light reach the mountains.

The goal is always one-take

The goal is always one-take, at least in shooting a video clip for a website.

But what about life?

How many takes (chances or opportunities) do we get?

The hour we spoke may change the course of our lives

Entreprenuer life cycle
This is as real and true as it gets. So glad to be fighting this battle.

The hour we spoke may will change the course of our lives.

If we sign the contract the way the conversation ended yesterday, it will be the right thing at the right time for both of us.

Seeing the upside is the only option

Never knew there was a town nearby.

Waterton, Alberta was a delightful mountain lake town. I’d go back in a heartbeat. They had “city deer” that roamed freely in front yards and were kid friendly.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.
