Plan for it to end

Daisies
Anomaly? It happens. A few days ago driving Going-to-the-Sun Road for the final time before heading home.

Plan for it to end. Literally a four day notice. Thankful for the time we had and what we accomplished together in 90 days.

Is there a chance it will continue?

Of course.

Remain optimistic, keep moving forward, and expect the unexpected.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Six Big Horn Sheep at Logan Pass. They look like rocks with legs. Decent chance you can’t spot them.

Six Big Horn Sheep never came any closer than this photo.

Six Big Horn sheep descended from their high-altitude base camp. We sat at the parking lot’s edge, hoping they’d cross close by. It was fun to watch the motorists try to sneak a five-second view as they drove by.

The second-hand benefit from an early arrival and a parking space is that we watched the Big Horn Sheep for 15 minutes.

Plan

#Plan

Try to imagine anything great ever being accomplished without a plan.

Be honest and clear with yourself that nothing ever turns out the way we plan.

So no excuse for not starting.

Your initial plan is simply a guide, not something etched in stone.

Go hard worker, go.

The main illusion stopping people from chasing their dreams

Orlando Disney Keynote Speakers

(photo: Walt Disney seemed to have a midas touch. Truth is, his creativity was honed from a simple business reality – survival of the fittest.)

The main illusion stopping people from chasing their dreams like they mean it?

Waiting until they are ready.

Being ready is an illusion.

It never happens.

You can prepare, but you can never be truly ready.

Note: One small example of how Disneyland was a successful failure. Even though he prepared, he realized only after the fact that he hadn’t purchased enough land. He severely underestimated the size of his dreams.

In a few days the annual performance appraisal process is finalized for FY 2014.

Very few people feel they are appropriately paid.

A widespread phenomenon.

Do you feel you are?

Exactly.

That’s the point.

This perpetuates itself because what are we going to do, leave?

Pffft.

No, of course not.

Final answer?

Yes, that’s a question not an exclamation.

What is peace and contentment?

The positioning to be able to walk away.

To plan in a deep, rational, profound way.

For a higher calling.
