Hi, Jeff.

Here are some advance pieces to consider for the podcast

-Cover Art. Do you have a profile photo you want to use? Do you have any ideas or styles you like? Have you seen any podcast covers you want to take into consideration?
A. Yes. Photos are below. Cover art? Something simple. Probably .think .differently (below headshots). Do you have a suggestion? Do you offer a design service?

-Theme song: I like to use Premium Beats for theme songs. The search feature works well to explore and discover songs you might like.
A. Okay. Looking for some sound that you’d never expect, yet not annoying.

-Have you thought through what you want the first few episodes to be?
A. Catalyst. Bio. History. Milestones (Ramsey, MKCP, bike, Carol’s call, ’08-09, book). Founder’s story. Vision, mission, brand, customer. (.think .differently)

-It would help build your email list if we created a lead magnet, something attractive people will be willing to exchange their email address in exchange to download it.
A. My first thought is, why do we have to offer something to get people to sign up? Why? Because everyone does this? What if the reason to sign up was simply to hear more – because the listener appreciates not having to use a “bait and switch” tactic to become part of my list. If i really want to give something away, why wouldn’t i just give it away, no strings attached?

The beauty in writing and talking about your priorities

Wells Fargo mistakes
Yes, please, at my convenience, and from my phone. (but your limitations won’t allow me to.)

Wells Fargo mistakes
Yes, please. (but instead, it requires about an hour to drive to and from your closest branch to do what the app won’t permit)

The podcast i did two days ago was only the fourth ever, and the first time with someone other than Jody Maberry.

It was also the first, by design, where i didn’t talk specifically about Disney.

What i’m reflecting on right now is how long today’s posts are and how i don’t want to do that here or at the next blog.

Today’s insight?

Writing and talking about what’s important to you really forces you to become clear – and clarity is power.

This is a copy and paste snippet from an email distribution software i just purchased on a recommendation from my future Podcast Host Jody Maberry. The software employee gives tips on how to build your processes and how to be more effective with what you build.

It’s like a dinner party conversation. Two people are talking and your friend says, “Hey did you hear Bill has a blog?”.

“No, what’s it about?” the person responds.

If your friend gives a general answer, it won’t be very compelling to the new person.

If it’s specific, you have a chance. The topic will either resonate or it won’t. If it does, you may have found a fan for life.

Ok, back to my voice…

Too generic and your flavor sounds like plain vanilla. Vanilla isn’t inherently bad, but it’s available everywhere and everyone is selling it.

The right kind of specific and you have a flavor that sounds amazing to the right person.

Out of 100 people who know about your new flavor, if five are crazy about it (and 95 don’t care), you have something valuable.

The goal is the smallest viable audience.

If formulaic approaches work, why isn’t everyone successful?

absence of human diversity
Only two (woman in center and the balloon) look like they don’t fit the hiring and promotion mold. Habits and rituals in hiring and promoting also lead to habits and rituals for a tolerance of risk-taking and pushing boundaries. Photo: yesterday on social media.

If formulaic approaches work, why isn’t everyone successful?

There’s a decent chance by the time this goes live on January 21, 2019, i will have launched my Podcast, If Disney Ran Your Life.

Along with the Podcast will be the highly suggested option to join an email distribution list.

i have avoided this formulaic process like the plague.

Why?

Because it’s formulaic.

So please know, the goal for Jody Maberry and me is to create a hybrid formula.
