Drum roll please?

Negotiate like a Mouse? Or like Bob Iger? Or both?

Drum roll please?

Today is the moment that will determine 2020 vibrancy for two sides.

One side is a 1000+ employee organization. The other side is a one-person army.

In minutes, i’ll be hitting the send button and the price is shared. The email is the fifth in a series of pitches.

Five email pitches, plus conversations, is an example of .think .differently

Non-traditional processes can be overbearing for executive steeped in business tradition.

For the first time ever, i’m prepared to negotiate because there’s room for it in the price.

That said, i’m also prepared to walk away.

This is going to be an extraordinary learning opportunity.

Blinding flash of the obvious

Mickey Mouse Hat smiley face on dinner table cloth. Selling is the transfer of enthusiasm.

It is challenging to admit, but certain parts of business don’t work the way you think they are supposed to work.

Most people or companies you hire don’t have one-tenth of the desire and motivation you have for your business.

The insight is simple: you most find a million ways to work around this little known fact of life.

Note: When i say little known, i mean harsh reality as an owner. This is where hiring right-fit talent for a purpose bigger than yourself becomes a blinding flash of the obvious.

Will Google search for Disney Keynote Speaker or Jeff Noel yield the new headshot photos?

Nothing happens until a sale is made.

Spent yesterday afternoon in Disney’s Magic Kingdom, sharing wisdom, insight, and transferring enthusiasm to two management consultants from Jakarta.

Selling is the transfer of enthusiasm.

We shall see.

Sell more, to more people, more often

Every marketing department in every organization has one job: sell more, to more people, more often.

And in many departments, admirable values are not driving decision making. Yes, this is funny. And to some people, it is also childish. Poop jokes. Whatever sells, right?
