When impossible meets drive and vision, Magic happens.

John Faurote contacted me via a LinkedIn message a couple years ago.

He basically said, “I don’t know how I can help you but I would like to be part of what you are doing.”

From the start i told him to create a business whereby he could offer people like me a structured process for speaking engagements.

I didn’t want him to build it for me because life is unpredictable.

I insisted he think long-term and BIG.

If he and i ever parted ways, for any reason, he would have and own an incredible asset that did not depend on my business (or anyone’s).

Man, did he ever exceed my expectations.

Looking forward to his proposals.

Disney Business Seminars are expensive

Disney Business Speakers
Disney Institute class in Washington State is $339 for non-Chamber Members.

Disney Business Speakers
Disney offers discounts for volume. Most smart companies do.

Disney Business Speakers
The $339 non-member fee is determined by the individual Chambers of Commerce. PS. $339 per person is a bargain for 6-hours of content in an 8-hour day (subtract 1-hour for lunch and 1-hour for two 30-minute breaks to get this).

Disney Business Speakers
Different Disney Business Session, even more expensive than the first…same content, different host Chamber.

Disney Business Speakers
This one is $110 more ($450) if you do early-bird registration, and $210 more ($550) if you wait.

Disney Business Speakers
Disney Business Speakers are expensive, as you would expect…you get what you pay for.

Disney Business Speakers
Essentially the day is four 90-minute keynotes (totaling 6 hours of content) of Leadership Excellence, Employee Engagement, Customer Service, Brand Loyalty – and then Disney Creativity insights sprinkled here and there throughout the day.

Disney Business Speakers
See, it’s 830am – 430pm. Eight hours total, minus one hour for lunch and a 30-minute morning break and a 30-minute afternoon break. Six content hours.

Disney Business Speakers
Disney Business Speakers – this fee is $697, but remember, these are Canadian rates.

Disney Business Speakers
Read ’em and weep. That’s a lot of money for six hours of content.

Disney Business Speakers
How does this look in California?

Disney Business Speakers
Different offering here. Still one day, but entirely Customer Service content. A six-hour content bargain at $400 for non-members.

You get what you pay for.

Continuous improvement is seen in only two ways – which is it for you?

  1. An expense?
  2. An investment?

World-class Business Seminars are expensive.

Disney Business Seminars are expensive too.

And worth every penny.

Are You An Investor?

Hmmmm.....
Hmmmm.....

Yesterday, a buddy from Church, and a fellow Cub Scout Dad sent me an email with this advertisement for a professional development opportunity here in Orlando, later this Fall.

When you do the right things for the right reasons, eventually, you begin to see dividends, but only if you don’t give up and if you never tire of the basics.

Continually learning, through books, seminars, blogs, university, volunteering, will pay dividends, but only if you consider yourself an investor.

Walt Disney said so

‘It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”

“If you can dream it, you can do it.”

“Laughter is no enemy to learning.”

When was the last time you had the chance to hear someone speak to your organization who really created positive energy and excitement?  When the goals you dream start to seem within reach, because your speaker inspired you to clarify your vision, and communicate it in a way that inspires interest and creates followers?  When you start to actually believe that anything is possible?

If it’s been recent, great!  That’s awesome news.

Walt Disney was a genius.  But you already knew that, right?

Make 2009 GREAT!  Because if you don’t, who will?

Carpe diem,  jungle jeff  🙂
