And so it goes, at work

22-second video: Didn’t intend to arrive near nightfall, however an airline delay created this late-day moment.
10-second video: Surreal to be in this present moment.

The future is calling and i must go.

The reality of the eye challenge is that the cause is simply from aging.

Like human hair turning grey, aging eventually sees to it that everyone’s hair turns grey.

This is a new phase of life for me.

A beginner, so to speak.

A rookie.

Uncharted territory.

The future is calling and i must go. (hat tip to John Muir for his, “The mountains are calling and I must go.”

Ps. Hey jeff, happy hiking.

Not a creature was stirring

10-second video: Not an animal, nor human, in sight. Everything in this video is so massive that it’s challenging to appreciate the magnificence of the Continental Divide’s Eastern view.

Today’s posts are inspired by a cluster of videos on the Mac desktop screen. Before clearing the desktop images, decided to use them today.

Seth’s presentation began with him telling a clarinet story while he opened a clarinet case and attached the mouthpiece. He never played a note. But he held the instrument until the end. The empty case remained on the high-top table too.

Snakes are afraid

3-second video: All these videos are from today. Snakes are terrified of humans, and most humans share an equal fear for snakes.

When you reach the right (Olympic) level of motivation nothing will get in your way.

When you spend significant time in Nature, it’s helpful to know what dangers exist and the odds (and places, times, severity) of encountering them. The snake, a southern black racer, in the video is rarely seen. We have learned to welcome them. They pose no threat.

My motivation to be confident in the wild has remained high since childhood. And it is best to not be out at night in the wild.
