Evan was (appropriately) enthralled with the wildlife. Had to be a dozen Rams across this particular 800-meter trail section.
21-second video: Just capturing a small taste of the cloud’s speed. Easier to do as we descended back to the car.
We began at 7:10 AM and returned at 12:10 PM. Five hours, half of which was spent on the summit.
Foliage Bend as we’ve come to nick-name it is far from putting on it’s annual, spectacular show. For late September, we are perplexed. But trust that Nature knows what it’s doing.
Nature always, brilliantly, knows what it’s doing.
Juxtapositions are fun, and inspiring.
Disney culture taught me how to perform like every day is Super Bowl Sunday. And that taught me how to do it in my own life.

The Best time to plan the best hikes is long before you arrive at the trailhead.
12-second video: Polebridge Merchantile’s ‘backyard’. Stopped in on our return from Bowman Lake. We still have 25 miles of mostly unpaved road to get back to our cabin.
Over-focus on everything.
Even hiking trails.
