Why not?

Taking a break isn’t quitting, it’s simply a break.

The only reason taking a break makes us nervous is because an intended short break looks exactly like the early start to quitting.

Too tired to finish

Cast parking at DAK.

Too tired to finish?

Almost asleep at the keyboard as today got away from me.

If it weren’t for the fact that i’m four days from completing 11 consecutive years writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts, it would be so easy to say, “It’s not worth it. Today’s posts can wait until tomorrow.”

Never said it. Perhaps never will.

It was not supposed to last

See my comment? Note: i occasionally ask myself, “Why do you continue to write 5-a-day?” The answer is always, “Because i can’t imagine life without daily writing.”

October 25, 2019, today.

Some thoughts generated from the photo above.

10 years, seven months

5 daily, differently-themed blog posts

mind, body, spirit, work, home

Never missing a single day

It was to last 100 days

Needed writing practice for my first book

How it morphed to 3,860+ days (and counting) is a mystery

Don’t quote me on this

It’s kind of fun to do the impossible. -Walt

Don’t quote me on this.

What?

It’s been an intentional effort to rarely post quotes from other people on these five blogs.

Why?

In 2008 when i started writing, the notion of finding my own voice was intriguing.

Could i write with authority without quoting famous people?

Even crazier, could anything i write become quote-worthy?

If your goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough.

To the future

To the future.

Keep moving forward…opening new doors. – Walt

It’s easy to make decisions when you know what your values are. – Roy

If your goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough. – jeff

Profit was the goal for Roy. For Walt, profit was the reward.

Walt and Roy were a great duo.

Operationally, profit as the reward is the only scalable, sustainable, long-term way to engage the hearts of the people doing the hard work. With an engaged heart, you’ve got a committed (versus a strictly compliant) team member.
