Darwin Disney?

“It not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change” .Charles Darwin

Keep moving forward.   — Walt Disney

Friday night my son and I watched “Meet the Robinsons” on The Disney Channel.  At the very end of the Disney movie is Walt Disney’s quote.

Do you know what Charles Darwin and Walt Disney are trying to say?

Dear Jeff,

The simple answer is “adaptability.” Even as a Christian, adaptability is something that is an integral part of the walk (not just a Darwin-only viewpoint). Like a pastor friend of mine says, “If you aren’t moving forwards in your walk, you are moving backwards.”

I am reminded of the book, “Who Moved My Cheese?” The classic book on how to deal with change expresses one key that stands out to me more than any – if you don’t adapt to change, you get left behind. It is all about adapting as change occurs (whether it is good change or bad change). And depending on how you view it, it may mean taking a leap of faith or at least taking a risk. But the bottom line is this: adapt…roll with the punches…look at the boulders as stepping stones and not walls.

Bob, GREAT insights. Writing five blogs per day is me trying to walk the talk. It was never the intent to do 5 every day. But blogging, and leaving a “trial” for our son was.
Talk about changing and adapting. This has been one of the great paths in my 50 years. Thank you, as always, for following and contributing.
